In all classes, we have been reviewing the Band Handbook so we establish clear communication of our expectations to our students. In fact, one of the most important parts of the handbook are our Rehearsal Expectations, which can be found here: Rehearsal Expectations. These contain our rules that students follow everyday, but these are spelled out in a band context rather than a traditional classroom. In the future, we will periodically having the students fill a self-assessment of how well they feel they follow our rehearsal guidelines.
Please encourage your child to be patient as we will be getting to the instruments soon. We know they are eager, but setting expectations are routines are important to our success for the rest of the school year. If you have any questions, please email a director.
