M100 Showcase on Wednesday

Coming up next Wednesday, September 20 we will be taking all band students on a field trip to watch the Belton High School Marching Hundred (M100) at Tiger Stadium.  They will be performing their UIL competition show entitled “Prismatic”.  This gives the students an opportunity to observe the high performance level of high school band, and spend some time with other middle school band students in the district.  This also gives them a glimpse into what it’s like to be part of the Marching 100, a goal we have for all South Belton Band students.

On Wednesday, all students will need to wear their band shirt tucked into jeans to school.  Uniform shirts will be given to students on Monday.  Students will report to the Band Hall after Advisory at 8:15am.  We will leave on school buses shortly after and miss 1st period, Enrichment, and 2nd period.  Students will return to school before the start of 3rd period so the 6th graders can make their lunch time around 10:42am.  Students are responsible for any and all missing work because of this, but it will not count against them and it will be considered an excused absence.

We also need 5 parent volunteers to come with us as chaperones.  You must fill out the district volunteer form and be approved to chaperone, which is due no later than Friday.  Please email Mr. Pulley if you would like to chaperone, or if you have any questions.
