All band students grades 6-8 prepared a solo appropriate to their level of development and was judged by a music professional. A few students joined together and also prepared an ensemble of similar instruments. With over 145 students participating in various ways, 142 First Division Superior ratings were earned by the students. These students will receive a medal at the End-of-Year Awards Ceremonies on May 25.
There were 33 Second Division Excellent ratings earned, and these students will receive a ribbon at the ceremonies. Outstanding Performer distinctions were earned by 21 students, and there were 3 Outstanding Ensembles, which adds an additional 12 Outstanding Performers. Please help me congratulate these outstanding students!
