South Belton Band Students & Parents,
Well we’ve reached the end of the school year, and it certainly has been notable! This will be my final message to you as the head band director as I will be moving to Belton Middle School next year. Please take time to read this letter summarizing our school year.
Since we were not able to present awards to students in person, I’ve create 3 videos for you to watch and recognize those students who earned a special band award. Each video is divided by grade level, and can be viewed at this link: tinyurl.com/sbmsbandeoyawards.
Hopefully by now you’ve been able to watch the school-wide video recognizing our students for their achievements at the Solo & Ensemble Contest held in February. Students who earned a first division superior rating will receive a medal, second division excellent rating receives a ribbon, and outstanding performers will receive an additional special medal. Due to the change in procedure because of the pandemic, we hope to give awards to students at the start of next school year, regardless of which campus they will attend.
Thank you so much for your support throughout the year, and we’ve certainly enjoyed being a part of the musical growth of our students. Stay Safe, and Have A Great Summer!
